My new album titled THE BOATMAN is coming out on Thursday May 20th, 2021.

It features 12 tracks of solo acoustic fingerstyle guitar music: some arrangements of traditional Scottish and Irish folk tunes, some newer arrangements and some original pieces. It will be available to stream at all platforms inc. Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music etc but you can buy it from my Bandcamp page where you get an 85 page book of guitar tabs along with the downloadable audio files. So how is everyone doing during the lockdown?!!!

I am using the time to crack on with arranging and recording tracks for a new album. Turns out I have around 6 or 7 album’s with of material so it’s a tough choice figuring out what to do first!! Good problem to have I guess.

One track I am definitely including is a beautiful melody written by Roger Tallroth (from the Swedish group Väsen) called Josefins Dopvals (Josefins Waltz). I first heard this tune some years ago when my fiddle player made me learn it for a music festival we were playing at. The infectious melody stayed with me and I have arranged it for solo guitar in CGDGCD tuning. The tab is in the store and you can watch me playing it below.
